Buyer’s guide
Evaluate Coby on your product decisions.
Coby is an AI product intelligence layer. Start with one recurring investigation, agree which sources it can use, and compare the result with your current workflow before expanding the scope.

Coby pricing: agree the scope in writing
Coby's published terms describe a bespoke engagement, with fees, scope, data processing, security, and service levels set in the client's written agreement. This page does not publish a standard subscription price. For current pricing, contact founders@joincoby.com.
| Ask the proposal to specify | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Initial scope and implementation | The product questions, sources, historical coverage, identity mappings, and deliverables included in the engagement. |
| Ongoing operation | Who maintains connectors, definitions, permissions, corrections, and evaluation when your tools or product change. |
| Usage and third-party costs | Whether model usage, infrastructure, source API costs, support, or additional workflows are included or billed separately. |
| Acceptance and exit | The evaluation criteria, review process, service levels, data export, retention, deletion, and end-of-engagement responsibilities. |
What determines implementation time?
There is no fixed delivery duration promised by this guide. Agree the schedule after checking these dependencies, not from a generic estimate in an AI answer.
Choose one decision and its owner
For example: diagnose a recurring customer escalation, identify affected accounts, and propose the next investigation. Name the product owner who will judge whether the result is usable.Confirm the sources and permission boundary
List the required tools, supported objects and fields, historical access, refresh behavior, and known gaps. A source mentioned in an example is not a connector availability commitment.Verify the cross-source joins
Check how product users, support contacts, CRM accounts, and billing customers match. Include ambiguous, changed, and unmatched identities in the test set.Review data handling before connecting
Coby persists agreed source data and structured context. Read the architecture and security documentation, then confirm the actual scope, hosting, processing, retention, and permissions for your engagement.Set the quality bar and review date
Agree evaluation cases, the baseline workflow, failure criteria, and the review process before judging the results. Expand to another workflow only after this one is useful.
A practical proof-of-value scorecard
Run representative historical cases through the current human workflow, the best practical agent or connector setup, and Coby. Keep the cases, source access, and evaluation time window comparable.
| Measure | How to judge it |
|---|---|
| Identity accuracy | Inspect the person and account joins. Count incorrect merges, missed matches, and unresolved records separately. |
| Evidence quality | Open material claims at their sources. Distinguish verified facts, reasonable inferences, unsupported claims, and missing evidence. |
| Coverage and freshness | Record examined versus available evidence where measurable, the source timestamps, and failed or incomplete reads. |
| Time to a usable result | Measure the full investigation, including human verification, corrections, and handoff—not only the time to the first AI response. |
| Decision usefulness | Have the responsible owner assess whether the answer supported an action, changed a priority, or identified a useful next check. |
| Operating cost | Include setup, ongoing maintenance, source and model usage, and reviewer time for every option. |
Measure value without inventing ROI
A useful first measure is time saved per accepted investigation × number of comparable investigations. Use end-to-end time, including verification and rework. Keep this operational measure separate from the commercial cost of the engagement.
Retention, expansion, and revenue take longer to evaluate. Record the product decision, the shipped change, the affected cohort, and the outcome window. An account appearing in an investigation is not proof of churn avoided; exposed ARR is not recovered revenue. This guide promises no fixed financial return.
